Frances Bean Cobain, the 19-year-old daughter of Courtney Love and late rocker Kurt Cobain, has dismissed her mother's latest allegations that Kurt's Nirvana bandmate Dave Grohl tried to make a move on Frances. She wants Twitter to ban Courtney, who claims she heard of Grohl's alleged advances from a friend of Frances.
The teenager, who has been estranged from her only parent for a few years, said: "While I'm generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I'm in a monogamous relationship and very happy. Twitter should ban my mother."
Frances obtained a restraining order against her mother in 2009 and court papers recently released claimed she was terrified the Hole singer would cause both of their deaths in a fire.
She said in a sworn court statement: "[Love] has taken drugs for as long as I can remember. She basically exists now on ... Xanax, Adderall, Sonata and Abilify, sugar and cigarettes.
"She rarely eats ... She often falls asleep in her bed while she is smoking, and I am constantly worried that she will start a fire (which she has done at least three times) that will threaten our lives."
Kurt Cobain died of a shotgun would to his head, in an apparent suicide, in April 1995. He led grunge band Nirvana of which Dave Grohl was the drummer. Grohl went on to form and lead his own group, Foo Fighters, after Nirvana disbanded.
