RIP Leonard Cohen: Celebs Remember Hallelujah Singer on Twitter

New Delhi: Canadian musician and poet Leonard Cohen, hailed as one of the most visionary artistes of his generation, died at age 82, on Thursday. A statement from his team was posted on his Facebook page.
 
 
 


On Twitter, celebrities and dignitaries paid tribute to Mr Cohen. Some quoted lyrics from his songs, and other grieved the loss of a great artiste.

Only recently, Mr Cohen released his 14th and final studio album, You Want It Darker. among hios famous compositions are So Long, Marianne and Suzanne - named after two of the many women who became his muses - and the religiously intoned, frequently covered Hallelujah.
