- In an interview with the UK edition of Elle magazine - which has made the sportsman its first ever male cover star - he said: "The most romantic thing I've ever done was probably when we renewed our wedding vows. It was a whole surprise, Victoria knew nothing about it. I had it all organized. I told her we were going out for lunch and I packed her bag.
- "I had a dress ready for her to change into on the plane. I picked the dress. I picked everything. It was just a simple white Dolce & Gabbana dress I think.
- "This is going back a few years, when I was playing in Spain. So then we renewed our vows, flew on to Paris and had a night in Paris."
