The festive season is here and Bollywood celebrities are showing us how to win over fashion critics at parties. Some have experimented with couture, others show what 'simple and sweet' really means. Like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan here. The 42-year-old actress attended Ganpati Utsav celebrations at an acquaintance's place in Mumbai recently. She paired a rani pink dupatta with a pale pink fully embroidered kurta. Bright and stylish, just like Ash.

Malaika Arora gave us two spectacular looks, both by Payal Khandwala. For Shilpa Shetty's celebrations (left), her outfit comprised a brocade lehenga with contrast crop top and attached dupatta, a magnificent necklace her only accessory. Next, we saw her at Manish Malhotra's place (right) in a silk-brocade skirt with a long jacket and top.

Shilpa Shetty's style file was a perfect blend of core ethnic and experimental traditional outfits. At her Ganpati Visarjan and Pooja, she picked two outfits from Masaba's shelves. The first was a skirted tunic with pants and dupatta while the other was a bright pink sari with embroidered palla. At a pandal in Mumbai, she wore an Anita Dongre sari. Her score - three on three, or 10 on 10.
