Aditya completed his schooling from G D Somani Memorial School, Mumbai, and later graduated from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai.
On the personal front Aditya has been linked to his Aashiqui 2 co-star Shraddha Kapoor. The two have often been spotted at various parties and screenings, but both actors have denied these rumours. On Koffee With Karan, Aditya and Shraddha had said that though they share a special bond, both are waiting for the cupid to strike.
Aditya started his career as a VJ on Channel V and earned quite a lot of fame for his amazing comic timing.

A sequel to the 1990 musical blockbuster Aashiqui, Aashiqui 2 also featured Shraddha Kapoor.
Then came Ayan Mukerji's rom-com Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
The movie, which also featured Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Kalki Koechlin, was declared a hit.
