Nargis Fakhri has come a long way since she made her Bollywood with 2011's Rockstar. She also earned rave reviews for her performance in 2013 film Madras Cafe, and won at the MTV Movie Awards for her 2015 Hollywood film Spy. Nargis Fakhri was born on October 20, 1979 in Queens, New York to a Pakistani father and a Czech mother Marie A Fakhri. Her parents were divorced when she was just six years old. She also has a sister Aliya Fakhri.
Nargis made her debut in Bollywood with Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar, in which she starred opposite Ranbir Kapoor. The film was a hit, thanks to Ranbir. Nargis' performance received mixed reviews and her lack of expression was cited as her biggest drawback.
Nargis was next seen in Madras Cafe (2013) with John Abraham. Though the film did only average business at the box office, Nargis received widespread acclaim for her performance as a war correspondent.
In 2013, she appeared in item number Dhating Naach in the film Phata Poster Nikla Hero.
In 2014, she starred in Main Tera Hero, co-starring Varun Dhawan and Ileana D'Cruz apart from featuring in a special song Yaar Na Miley in Salman Khan's Kick.
In 2015, Nargis starred as Lia in Hollywood's Spy and won at MTV Movie Awards for Best Fight.
2016 proved to be a good year for Nargis, who featured in films like Tamil flick Saagasam and Bollywood's Azhar, Housefull 3 and Dishoom. Nargis will next be seen in musical drama Banjo with Riteish Deshmukh.
Nargis, a former model, has also featured on various magazine covers including Filmfare, Elle, Maxim and Harper's Bazaar. She is often spotted show-stopping at various fashion shows.
