The actress started her journey in the realm of movies with a Bengali project titled Iti Srikanta and joined Bollywood with Dil Maange More, both in the same year - 2004. Soha was born to veteran Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore and the late Nawab of Pataudi, Mansoor Ali Khan, on October 4, 1978. Tiger Pataudi, as her father was known, was one of India's most successful cricket captains.
Soha's older brother is Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, and older sister Saba Ali Khan is a jewellery designer.
Soha attended The British School in New Delhi and Balliol College, Oxford. She has a Master's degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Before venturing into Bollywood, Soha worked for the Ford Foundation and Citibank. Following in the footsteps of her mother and brother, Soha made her Bollywood debut in 2004 with the film Dil Maange More, which also featured Shahid Kapoor, Ayesha Takia and Tulip Joshi.

In July 2014, Soha and her boyfriend Kunal Kemmu were in Europe on a month-long holiday when the actor proposed to Soha in Paris. They got married in January 2016.
