Rajinikanth's much-awaited Kabali hit screens on July 22. The first show in Chennai was at 5 am and looks like, a crowd of cheering fans have already made it a blockbuster.
A group of ecstatic fans were coordinated in Kabali-themed T-shirts which read 'Neruppu Da' meaning 'it's fire.'
Fans poured milk over a huge Rajinikanth poster as blessings for his new film.
Banners and Rajinikanth cut-outs were lined up outside the theatres in Chennai.
An hour ahead of the first show, fans cheered and danced with drums playing.
One fan was also seen pouring - wait for it - cola.
Meanwhile, fans also carried Rajinikanth banners as they arrived for the first show.
An auto-driver decorated his vehicle with posters of Thalaivar as part of the celebrations.
