Highlights

  • Baahubali 2 has made over Rs 220 crore in total
  • Baahubali 2's Hindi version has reportedly set record in two days
  • Baahubali 2 hit screens on April 28
Baahubali 2 is setting the box office on fire. No really. Second day brings second set of Rs 100 crores for S S Rajamouli's film, reports Box Office India. Baahubali: The Conclusion has completed its two-day run at the box office and raked in more than Rs 220 crore, reported Box Office India. The difference in collection figures of the first and the second days has been attributed by Box Office India to comparatively lesser footfalls in Southern states on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Hindi version of the film is keeping up with its opening day collections, bringing in Rs 40 crores on day two, reported Box Office India. Baahubali 2 marks the highest two-day collections for any Hindi film, stated Box Office India.
Box Office India also reports that the slight dip in collection figures for the Hindi version is because there are limited shows for other regional languages in states like Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. The report also states that after a humungous opening day for Baahubali 2, the box office figures declined in South Indian theatres as per trend - "The Conclusion has seen a drop in collections in its South Indian language versions especially the Telugu one but that is how box office works there and it is a regular thing."
Baahubali: The Conclusion opened to startling fanfare on April 28 and has made history with record-breaking opening day collection, which trade analyst Taran Adarsh reported to be Rs 121 crore. In doing so, Baahubali 2 has smashed the record of Aamir Khan's Dangal which currently stands at over Rs 385 crores but took three days to mint Rs 100 crores, reported Mr Adarsh.

Directed by S S Rajamouli, Baahubali: The Conclusion wraps the two-part epic series, and reunites the regular cast, comprising Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia, in their original roles.
