CIA: Comrade In America Is Dulquer Salmaan's Next Film

New Delhi: Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan shared a poster of his upcoming film with director Amal Neerad on Twitter, confirming its title. The movie has been titled CIA: Comrade in America and is set to be released later this year. The tagline of the movie reads: 'some heroes are real'. The shoot for the film CIA: Comrade in America started a year ago and it has been shot around Kottayam in Kerala and in the United States. Cinematographer C.K. Muraleedharan's daughter, Karthika will be making her debut in this film. CIA: Comrade in America revolves around a Pala-based youngster, Aji Mathew, portrayed by Dulquer Salmaan, who travels to U.S in pursuit of his love.

The movie which has been scripted by Shibin Francis of 2016 film Paavada fame, also features Soubin Shahir, Jinu Joseph and John Vijay in supporting roles.

Dulquer Salmaan is the son of popular actor and producer Mammootty. The 30-year-old actor had made his debut in 2012 action film Second Show, for which he received the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. In 2015, Salmaan won his first State Award for Best Actor for the film Charlie which was directed by Martin Prakkat. Dulquer Salmaan had earlier teamed up with Amal Neerad in the short film Kullante Bharya in the anthology, 5 Sundarikal. The O Kadhal Kanmani actor has also been roped in by filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar for his upcoming project Solo. Dulquer Salmaan will also been seen in a lead role Mani Ratnam's next film Komali.
