Versatile and dynamic actor Dhanush has been busy shooting in Pollachi for his
next project Kodi. In an exclusive interview with iFlickz, director R S Durai Senthilkumar revealed that Dhanush will be playing dual roles, with three dimensions in this political thriller. Here's more:

"Yes," Mr Senthilkumar confirms. "Dhanush is playing dual roles, while one twin is a politician, the other is a professor. The duo is called Anbu and Kodi respectively. He will have three different looks in the film and the characters will have three shades as well," he adds.
The title of the film apparently refers to Kodi, one of the twin brothers that he is playing. The elder twin is aggressive and bold while the younger brother is subtle and calmer. The story is touted to be a revenge drama with the director having done extensive research on the concept of twins which has a bearing on the story.
Mr Senthilkumar says, "How the emotions and actions of one twin reflects on and affects the other deeply, will be one of the highlights of the film, along with the revenge drama."
A large part of the film was shot in the interior locations of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The shoot was tough to handle for the unit due to the immense crowd that would gather to watch Dhanush. According to producer S Madhan, onlookers were so difficult to manage in Coimbatore that shooting had to be cancelled for the day. "We shot later on a Sunday since crowds were unmanageable," reveals Mr Madhan.

The film is produced by Vetrimaaran's Grassroots Films while S Madhan of Escape Artists is releasing the film. Actress Trisha plays a politician and
Premam star Anupama Parameshwaran plays the role of an egg vendor, who is also a trickster.
Dual roles by leading stars are always a draw for audiences. Dhanush's
Kodi is sure to bring the versatility of the National Award-winning actor to the forefront once again. And with talented co-stars in powerful roles, the movie seems to have all the makings of a commercial potboiler.
