The book is titled Dr. Rajkumar: The Person Behind The Personality. The book which will cost Rs 2500 was released in the presence of other celebrities from the Kannada film industry. The book is apparently a reflection of a son's perspective, who quotes several anecdotes from his father's life.
On this occasion, Puneet Rajkumar said, "It's a very nice 'feel good' book. It took me 8 years to compile it. Whatever money is being collected from the sale of the book, will be given to the charity. It is a collection of pictures from family and fans."
Talking about one of his memorable moments Shiv Rajkumar, Dr Rajkumar's elder son said, "One of my favourite moments with dad was when I was 12 or 13. During the shoot of a film, dad had to row the boat against the current. It was risky and dangerous. I was so worried that I wanted to jump in the water and save him. But by that time others had already gone and saved him. I was so awestruck that my dad was so brave."
