From innocent cop to spunky city-girl

  • “Bala sir is an inspiration to all. Usually, one gets an opportunity to work with directors like him in their fifth or sixth movie. But I debuted with his movie and I will cherish the experience of working with him always. Aslam is talented in his own way. He is hard-working and knows what he wants,” says Janani.
  • Janani is all praise for Shrikanth.
  • “Although he has been in the industry for a long time, he is a down-to-earth person. On the sets, he appreciates my work. And I don’t need to say he is really a talented actor,” says the actress.
  • Having born and brought up in Chennai, it is no wonder that she can speak Tamil fluently.
  • “Bala sir insisted me that I dub for my role in Avan Ivan, as I know the language. In fact, I would love to dub for all my characters. But I leave it to the directors to take the final decision, because they might have a different voice in mind for the characters,” she says.
