Kamal Haasan, while speaking at the event, commended his team for all the efforts and meticulous planning, which allowed them to finish the shoot of both the versions (Tamil and Telugu) under 60 days. While admitting that he had earlier shot films for more than 200 days, Mr Haasan mentioned Thoongavanam/Cheekati Rajyam as proof of the effect diligent pre-production and painstaking groundwork would have on the duration of a film's shoot, without compromising on the quality of the final product. Emphasizing the importance of pre-shoot acting workshops and rehearsals that would save up quite a lot of time on the sets, he urged his fellow actors to make it a customary thing in the industry. While the first trailer of Thoongavanam was high on adrenaline packed action thrills, the new trailer is high on emotions, introducing Kamal Haasan as a doting dad, who is going through a troubled marriage. The rest of the trailer focuses on the events happening over one single night in a club house, with Mr Haasan playing CK Dhiwakar, a tough Indian Revenue Service officer in the Narcotics Control Bureau. A lot of high-octane action involving Kamal Haasan, Trisha and Prakashraj unfolds in the final 60 seconds of the two minute and forty two second long trailer. The official making video of the single album Neeye Unaku Raja, which was also released today, has sent expectations about the film sky-rocketing.
