Malayalam Star Jayasurya's Plush Home Violates Building Rules, Says Kochi Mayor

  • The actor's home overlooks a backwater and he has built a private boat jetty and a wall, which according to activist Gireesh Babu is in gross violation of building rules.
  • "It was last year in August that I had filed a complaint against this violation to the Kochi corporation. He (Jayasurya) has violated the Coastal Regulation Zone rules, but no action for demolition has been taken by the corporation," said Gireesh Babu.
  • The 35-year-old actor who hails from Kochi, began his film career in 2001. He is an established name in the industry and by now has acted in more than 65 films in Malayalam and has also acted in a few Tamil and Telugu films, besides having sung songs.
  • His popular films include Swapnakkoodu, Pulival, Kalyanam, Chathikkatha, Classmates, Trivandrum Lodge and Husbands In Goa to name a few.
