Rana Daggubati wants to return to proper action-drama zone

Rana will be seen in the upcoming action film Baahubali.

  • Rana, who has worked down south in a couple of movies, ventured into Bollywood in 2011 with Dum Maro Dum, a crime thriller.
  • Later, he was seen in Ram Gopal Varma's action film Department, where he played a cop.
  • The film didn't fare well at the box office, but Rana does not regret working in the film as he got to share screen space in itwith industry stalwarts like Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt.
  • Calling it a "huge and great experience", he said: "Though the film (Department) didn't do well at all, it did reasonably well for me. What I took back from the film is the beautiful memories, working with Mr. Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt.."
  • He said that it would have been good if the film had done well but he has no regrets.
  • "I grew up on a cult-classic film director called Ram Gopal Varma, who made films like Shiva, Satya and all of those. Well, it would have been nicer if it would have been a better film, but still no regrets! I had a great time doing that film," he added.
