The audio rights of the much
anticipated Gautham Vasudev Menon-directed Tamil flick,
Neethane En Ponvasantham has been bagged by Sony Music.
An official release here said audio rights for the film,
the music for which has been scored by 'maestro' Ilayaraja,
has been sold for more than the 2010 blockbuster, Vinnai
Thandi Varuvaya (VTV) directed by Menon. But it did not
mention the amount.
However, sources close to the film unit said Sony Music had
acquired the audio rights for Rs 2 crore, while VTV, with
musical score by A R Rahman which were chartbusters and remade
into Hindi as Ek Deewana Tha, had fetched Rs 1.50 crore.
Neethane En Ponvasantham, yet another offering from the
critically acclaimed filmmaker, stars Jiiva and Samantha in
the lead and has already created a buzz among movie buffs.
