Tamil superstar Rajinikanth arrived in Coimbatore, on Thursday, for a brief visit to seek the blessings of Dayananda Saraswati, his spiritual guru.
Immediately on arrival from Chennai by air, he left for the Dayananda Ashram in Anaikatty and took blessings from Dayananda Saraswati.
He told mediapersons, who were waiting for PMK leader Dr S Ramadoss that he was going to meet Dayananda Saraswati at Anaikatty on the outskirts of the city.
The actor spent more than one hour with him, enquiring about his health and had lunch with him, the Ashram sources said.
Rajinikanth, an ardent disciple, meets Dayanand Saraswati at Rishikesh every year, however, the latter could not go there last year.
Therefore, Rajinikanth flew down to the Ashram to meet and enquire about his health and also take his blessings. Rajinikanth left for Chennai in the evening, police said.
