National Award winning director Srijit Mukherjee, who has directed Sushmita Sen in upcoming film
Nirbaak, said that the Bollywood actress has perfect Bengali diction.
Sushmita, 39, is making her Bengali film debut with the film. "Sushmita has perfect Bengali diction, perhaps better than many other Bengalis here. We bonded well and she could guess what I was looking for as a director," Srijit said. (Also Read:

Nirbaak (Speechless) has four stories strung together by Sushmita's character, who is nameless.
"In the script the woman can't be easily defined, she is beyond that. You will understand what I am talking about once you see the film. In the film Sushmita is referred as 'The Girl' and 'The Woman' variously," the director said. (Also Read:

Srijit, who made his debut as a director with
Autograph which dealt with the angst of a young filmmaker, said the inspiration to make the film came during a visit to a museum in Europe, where he saw a Salvador Dali surrealistic painting of a tree that had assumed the shape of a human.
"I had thought after seeing the painting what would happen if that very tree would be overpowered by human passions and react in the same way - by loving, showing anger, and emotions!" he said.
Nirbaak is slated to release on May 1.
