Actor Puneet Issar, who returned to Bigg Boss 8 (in a cage) after being disqualified from the game for becoming physically aggressive towards co-contestant Aarya Babbar during a task, is a free man now.
Puneet was released from his prison as the request of his fellow contestants. On Day 53 inside the house, Bigg Boss announces the Judgement Day task for captain Diandra Soares, wherein she had to punish one contestant and fulfill one participant's wish.
It was then that Dimpy Mahajan, Karishma Tanna, Pritam, Praneet Bhatt, Sonali Raut and Ali Quli Mirza requested to free Puneet from the jail. Therefore, Diandra decides to free Puneet from the cage. Puneet is welcomed by all the contestants and also becomes eligible to use all the luxuries of the house.
In the course of the day Gautam Gulati finds a friend in Upen Patel, with whom he discusses the ongoing events in the house. Gautam is clearly disturbed with many people conspiring against him from the first day. Upen asks him to cool down as he thinks that the housemates are reacting to his aggression.
Meanwhile, unknown to the contestants, half of their journey in the game show is now over.
