After showing some power-packed performances throughout the season, celebrity couple Himmanshoo Malhotra and Amruta Khanvilkar were on July 19 announced the winner of dance reality show
Nach Baliye 7.
Along with a winning trophy, featuring a dancing couple inside a big ring, the couple got Rs 30 lakh and a Honda Jazz car. They were also presented with Rs.5 lakh cheque by the sponsors.
Rashmi Desai and Nandish Sandhu were the first runner ups, followed by
Big Boss famed Karishma Tanna and Upen Patel's
jodi.
"Winning matters a lot in our country and it is often associated with a lot of happiness. We obviously wanted to win and now that we've won, we're very happy. It's like people' prayers been answered and I feel like it's Eid for us today," a jubilant Himmanshoo told IANS after the victory.
The Star Plus show, which had actress Preity Zinta, author Chetan Bhagat and choreographer Marzi Pestonji as judges. Actors Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran promoted theor upcoming film
Drishaym in the finale episode.
Co-hosted by Rithvik Dhanjani (winner of the previous season of
Nach Baliye) and Karan Patel, the grand finale was a dance extravaganza filled with scintillating acts by last four
jodis. Also, Chetan was seen shaking a leg for the first time on stage.
Following the successful completion of this season of
Nach Baliye 7,
Dance , a new dance-based show by
ABCD 2 director Remo D'Souza, will be aired on the channel starting July 26.
