The Indian Television Academy Awards were held in Mumbai on Sunday night. The glittering event was attended by television's biggest stars, some of whom set the stage on fire while others scooped up awards to add to their list of prizes.
Mouni Roy won Best Popular Actress
for Naagin, in which she plays a shapeshifting snake-woman.
Shabbir Ahluwalia won Best Popular Actor for his work as Abhishek, the male lead on
Kumkum Bhagya, which is a complex adaptation of the Jane Austen novel
Sense and Sensibility. The Best Popular Serial award went to Mouni's
Naagin.
Yeh Hai Mohabbatein co-stars
Divyanka Tripathi and Karan Patel won the Best
Jodi award. Anil Kapoor's
24 Season 2 fetched him an award in the Best Actor - Drama category.
