Actress Priyanka Chopra, over 50-films-old, never auditioned for a role before she met ABC for
Quantico. The 33-year-old actress, who is reprising her role as Alex Parrish in the second season of the hit television show, reveled she
never auditioned before Quantico on chat show
Good Morning America.
Priyanka, who looked superb as ever in Galvan London couture, said: "I
ended up being Miss World in 2000, so people kind of knew who I was and cast in movies because it made sense and then I ended doing a lot of them because I guess I was decent at my job. But when
I picked Quantico as a script they (the makers) had to meet me and I had to meet them and I had to do a reading," said Priyanka.
"I remember going to a bathroom before... But first of all I walked in wearing skirt and heels for the role of Alex Parris? I don't even know what was I thinking?" she said.
Was
Priyanka nervous?
"Yeah, because I've never been in a room with seven people looking at you and you had to perform. It's such a weird thing for an actor to do. And I can make a complete idiot of myself in front of 80, 000 people on a stage but that was a moment - my hands are getting all sweaty talking about it - I told myself, completely cliched, in the bathroom, 'You've done 50 movies, what's wrong with you? And then I went in there, did my thing and got the job," said Priyanka.
Priyanka was
promoting Quantico season 2, which will premiere on September 25 (in the US) and the following day in India. Priyanka's new co-star Blair Underwood, famous as Jonathan Rollins of
L.A. Law, kept her company.
