Television actor Rithvik Dhanjani,
who has made a wild card entry in dance reality show Jhalak
Dikhla Jaa, says he does not want to get stereotyped.
The 24-year-old shot to fame with his role as Arjun in
popular TV soap Pavitra Rishta.
"I don't want to get stereotyped or be known as a typical
actor doing this or that kind of a role. I want to do a
variety of roles," Rithvik told PTI.
"It is good that people remember or associate me with
my onscreen character but I would love the audience to
remember be as Rithvik first," he said.
The young debutant secured an entry after competing with
six celebrity contestants.
"There was no agenda as such to be on this show. People
have known me as an actor and now I want them to see my
dancing side. I think what better platform than this show to
learn and show my dancing skills. The show is not only about a
good dancer but about a good performer," he said.
"There is no set plan after this dance show. I just want
to woo my audience and judges with my performance. I would
definitely work hard towards it," he added.
The show is judged by Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit,
filmmaker Karan Johar and choreographer-turned-director Remo
D'Souza.
