TV show about Madhubala's love life upsets sister
Legendary actress Madhubala's sister is unhappy about a TV show based on the late actress' romance with Bollywood thespian Dilip Kumar.

Madhubala's youngest sister Zahida, who prefers to be known as Madhur Brij Bhushan, is objecting to the telecast of the television show, which focuses on how the actress was torn between Dilip Kumar and her father, Ataullah Khan and how she eventually ended the romance.

Promos of the show went on air recently and it is due to be telecast later this month.

Madhur had sent a letter to the channel stating her reservations about the show and the way her sister would be depicted. She alleges that the channel paid no attention to her request for a meeting. Later, she dispatched letters seeking an appointment with the channel head. This too, she claims, proved futile.

"I don't want to pick up a fight but at least they should be kind to the departed soul. The makers are refusing to discuss things on a pleasant note. They can at least give a hearing to what I have to say," said Madhur.

The show stars Vivian Dsena, Dhrathi Dhami and Raj Zutshi.

Dilip Kumar's wife Saira Banu had earlier stated that she was aware of such a show but did not want to say anything on that front.

Madhubala and Dilip Kumar sizzled not only on the big screen, but were romantically involved off screen too. The show deals with how their relationship ended on a bitter note. The channel remained unavailable for comment.
