Singer Chinmayi Sripaada, who is petitioning against rape threats, told NDTV that five years back, she was the first in India to file a complaint against online harassment. She said, "That time also Twitter didn't react on time and later I had to ask for help."
Singer Chinmayi Sripaada, who received tweets like "You need to be raped," "I'll throw acid on your face," said that she had faced similar threats before five years ago. She further added that when the law-makers asked Twitter to take action against the culprits, the micro-blogging site had refused to help and then she had to ask for help.
