"She was a very important writer, she has written amazing literature. I respect her a lot. I wanted to do a film on her life," Irrfan Khan said
Jazbaa has been regarded as the Guzaarish actress' comeback movie but her co-star Irrfan believes otherwise. "For me she was always here. She didn't go anywhere. An actor should be allowed a gap. Her audience is still with her. People are her fan, her admirers, and they'll definitely go to watch her," he said in an interview to PTI
Actor Irrfan Khan, who is awaiting the release of Hindi Medium, opposite Pakistani actress Saba Qamar, says that the film is special to him. "Hindi Medium came to me after a long wait. I was waiting to do comedy and at the same time wanted to work on a film which a family can watch and relate to," the actor told NDTV.
Actor Irrfan Khan, who's Inferno with Hollywood star Tom Hanks is set to hit the screens, says he doesn't dream about winning an Oscar. "I don't dream about Oscar. I don't dream about any awards. I used to dream about National award long time back and I used to prepare my speech. But my life has turned out in a different way and it has even surprised me and I trust that surprise now." Filmmaker Ron Howard's Inferno will release on October 14.
Irrfan Khan says he became the creative producer for his latest film Madaari because he wanted to "control" over the film's release. "I wanted that if I make a film then it gets a release date," he said.
Actor Irrfan Khan, who is juggling projects between Bollywood and Hollywood, said that the roles in the latter "challenges in a way which you never get to dwell here."
