If Ranbir Kapoor doesn't give dates for this year, then Anurag basu will sign another actor for Kishore Dutt's biopic
Months ago, it was announced that Ranbir was roped in to play Kishore Kumar but Anurag says that at the moment, the actor is not part of the movie as he doesn't have dates next year
"No it should not be made. We made one on Milkha Singh. I heard they are making a biopic on Guru Dutt as well. It will be better if they don't make it," said Naseeruddin Shah
Ranbir Kapoor said that firstly, they didn't get the desired cast and then, there were issues with the script as his family members were not happy with it. Meanwhile, Ranbir will be soon gearing up for another biopic that is based on Sanjay Dutt's life, which will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani
Aamir Khan reportedly asked Ranbir Kapoor if he could start a conversation with the studio that wants to bankroll Kishore Kumar's biopic. However, Ranbir said that he is currently working on in Sanjay Dutt's biopic and is not interested in any other biopic for the time being.
Cricketer MS Dhoni is reportedly co-producing his biopic which features actor Sushant Singh Rajput in the titular role. The film directed by Neeraj Pandey had earlier gone through a rough patch but now has set it sails. Sports biopics (and biopics in general) are in vogue in Bollywood. With the success of stories of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Mary Kom in mind, Bollywood is looking forward to the biopics of Kishore Kumar, Sahir Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam, among others.
