The cast and crew of Lipstick Under My Burkha held a press conference to talk it's success at the box-office. The film has got positive reviews from most critics and even movie-goers have given it a thumbs-up. Producer of the film Ekta Kapoor said she is confident that now a lot of filmmakers will start making thought provoking films. So far Lipstick Under My Burkha has collected Rs 8.44 cr at the box office.
Lipstick Under My Burkha director Alankrita Shrivastava says the film is personal for her. "Although I haven't inhabited their (the four protagonists of the film)world, their story comes from a very personal space," she said.
Shraddha Kapoor who has just recieved raving reviews for the trailer of her upcoming film Haseena Parkar was present at the special screening of Lipstick Under My Burkha, which has turned out to be one of the most controversial film of the year. She spoke to media at the screening and said she hopes that more films with different concepts get made in the future.
Director of the controversial film Lipstick Under My Burkha, Alankrita Shrivastava and actor Konkana Sen Sharma are upset with the way the CBFC dealt with their film. They made some important points as they expressed their views against the system that CBFC follows. Alankrita said that in today's times CBFC should be dissolved as it has no relevance in 2017.
