The remake of Sadma might have a contemporary take. "We have a few new approaches to the film but we are not locking anything yet. I am very careful not to destroy the essence of the original film and also not to make the film boring, as most of us have already seen the old Sadma at some point"
The other factor that makes Puli special for her, was sharing screen space with Sridevi. "The first film I saw of Sridevi ma'am was Sadma opposite Kamal Haasan, when I was 10 years old. I was too young to understand much and was crying my lungs out, moved by her performance," said Hansika
Actors Ranveer Singh and Kareena Kapoor Khan are reportedly onboard the remake of Sadma, which will be backed by Boney Kapoor. The 1983 film featured Sridevi and Kamal Haasan in lead roles.
