It's been 40 years since actor Amitabh Bachchan's unforgettable film
Sholay released on August 15, 1975.
Sholay, one of Indian cinema's most iconic films, was made more phenomenal by director Ramesh Sippy's choice of actors. He signed the most remarkable actors of that era - Amitabh Bachchan, his wife Jaya, Dharmendra and Hema Malini. Sanjeev Kumar and Amjad Khan were also featured in significant roles.
Mr Bachchan, now 72, shared a few images on Facebook:

On his official
blog, he wrote:
"The 40 years of
SHOLAY. The 68 years of Independence for August 15, of the Day of Thanksgiving to our CREATOR, of the completion of several years of another film, of living back the life that was ordained for us."
Sholay has been a memorable film for movie buffs and Bollywood fans, not only because it showcased outstanding performances but also because of its arresting set of dialogues. (Also Read:

A nostalgic Mr Bachchan shared his memories from this film in an interview with the IANS. "Memories from
Sholay would fill a book. But this is not the adequate platform I would imagine. Suffice to say it was an experience that was unforgettable," he said. (Also Read:
