Mumbai: Actor Salman Khan, just back from finishing Bajrangi Bhaijaan in Kashmir, completed bail formalities in the Sessions Court in Mumbai on Wednesday.

The 49-year-old actor, dressed in a blue T-shirt and wearing sunglasses, was driven to court to put the final signature on his bail bond. Mr Khan was convicted in the 202 hit-and-run case earlier this month and his five-year sentence was suspended by the Bombay High Court which set his bail at Rs 30,000.

The High Court will hear the actor's appeal in July.

Mr Khan flew home to Mumbai from Kashmir on Tuesday. He spent about a week completing his scenes for director Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan in Sonmarg and Pahalgam.

Before leaving with co-star Kareena Kapoor, Salman Khan thanked his unit members in person. "He went up to everyone - his unit members, security personnel and drivers and thanked them all. He is in love with the Valley and it is 100 per cent in his heart that he wants to be here again very soon," Bajrangi Bhajaan's line producer Khawar Jamsheed told PTI.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan is the first of Mr Khan's two films this year and will see an Eid release in July. He also has director Sooraj Barjatya's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo with Sonam Kapoor coming up later.
