Like the slo-mo dance style, Bollywood's newest blockbuster-in-the-making
Any Body Can Dance 2 is inching towards the Rs 100-crore mark at the Indian box office. The film, which released on June 19, has collected a little above Rs 91 crores, tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
Globally, however, the film made it past the coveted mark in just a week:
With a starting collection of Rs 14.30 crores, the Remo D'Souza-directed film also won the title of this year's biggest opener:
ABCD 2 is the story of how a local dance group, featuring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor and aided by Prabhu Deva, make it big in a hip-hop competition in Las Vegas. The film also stars Raghav Juyal, Lauren Gottlieb, Dharmesh Yelande, Punit Pathak and Sushant Pujari in pivotal roles.
