Director Tinu Suresh Desai said that the makers will not push the release date of Akshay Kumar's Rustom, which is all set to clash at the box office clash with Ashutosh Gowariker's Mohenjo Daro.
It was reported that the makers of Rustom might shift the film, scheduled to release on August 12 as Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro is releasing on the same date.
"No. Nothing like that. Our film is also releasing on August 12 as scheduled," Tinu told PTI.
On Tuesday, a statement on behalf of director Ashutosh Gowariker read that Hrithik 's Mohenjo Daro will keep its date with the box office on August 12 as scheduled.
Mohenjo Daro, set in the Indus Valley Civilization, will be Hrithik Roshan's first release since 2014's Bang Bang! and co-stars Pooja Hegde, Arunoday Singh and Kabir Bedi.
Hrithik's 2017 film Kaabil will also clash at the box office with Shah Rukh Khan's Raees and Ajay Devgn's Baadshaho next January.
Rustom reunites Akshay Kumar with Baby director Neeraj Pandey and co-stars Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta.
