Alia's actress-turned-filmmaker sister Pooja Bhatt shared this video in which her grandfather, N Razdan, performed a special rendition of the 'Happy Birthday' song (on violin), featuring her grandmother Gertrude (on harmonica). It left Alia in tears - something, as Pooja reveals, is an abundant commodity in the Bhatt household.
Happy Birthday Alia!! A glorious rendition of Happy Birthday for @aliaabhatt by her dazzling grandparents! Naturally there was not a dry eye in the house.. Not that there ever is a shortage of waterworks at a Bhatt family do but this one was truly special!#Birthdays #family #grandparents #Bhatts #legacies #giftsthatkeepongiving #memories #waterworks
Alia also shared a similar video (minus the waterworks) and wrote: "My grandparents wish me happy birthday in the most beautiful way couldn't hold back my tears. #belatedbirthdaycelebration."
Alia turned 23 on March 15 but the actress was busy promoting her new film Kapoor And Sons, which released on March 18. Alia was on a multi-city tour with her co-stars Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan on her birthday. (Also Read: How Sidharth Malhotra Made Alia Bhatt Realise the Value of a Family)
