Masaan, is likely to star opposite
Alia Bhatt in Meghna Gulzar's next film, reports news agency PTI. The movie will reportedly be based on Harinder Sikka's book
Calling Sehmat. The story of the film will apparently revolve around a woman who marries a Pakistani Army officer so as to provide Indian intelligence with invaluable information during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. "He (Vicky) is in talks for the film with Alia. The film needed a performer like him. But we are yet to sign on dotted lines and figure out the dates and other things," PTI quoted sources close to the project as saying.
The shoot of the film, which will reportedly be co-produced by Junglee Pictures and Dharma Productions, is likely to begin in July.

Alia Bhatt was last seen in Shashank Khaitan's Badrinath Ki Dulhaniaopposite Varun Dhawan. She will soon begin shooting for Ayan Mukerji's
Dragon along with Ranbir Kapoor. She is also committed to working with Zoya Akhtar in her next project, titled
Gully Boy. The 24-year-old actress will be seen romancing Ranveer Singh in the film, which is a musical based on the life of rappers living in Mumbai's ghettos.
