All About Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dwarf Role' in Aanand L Rai's Film

New Delhi: After giving a string of hit films like Tanu Weds Manu, Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Raanjhanaa, filmmaker Aanand L Rai is all set to work with actor Shah Rukh Khan for his next film and said that "nobody understands ordinariness better than him."

Mr Rai also shared that Shah Rukh is an experienced human being.

"Yes he is playing a dwarf. Shah Rukh and I have to start working. Right now, we are scripting. But meeting that man makes you believe that nothing can beat experience. He is such an experienced human being. He has seen life not just as an actor but as a person," Mr Rai told IANS.

"He has such a big heart and is an intelligent man," added Mr Rai. The filmmaker also shared that Shah Rukh knows how to make a person "feel important."

"He has a great understanding of human beings. I am in love with that man," said Mr Rai.

Mr Rai also said that he is "really looking forward to work with him."

This is not the first time that Shah Rukh will be playing a challenging role. Shah Rukh, tagged as the 'King of Romance' by his fans, has played such roles in films like My Name Is Khan, Kal Ho Naa Ho and Fan.

When Mr Rai was asked about the story of a dwarf, he said: "For me, it was a story of a man who is just three feet one inch tall. That is it and nothing beyond it."

What made him cast Shah Rukh as a dwarf in his next film?

"Mr Khan, for this is purely because nobody understands ordinariness better than him. I needed somebody who looked very confident and sure. The kind of a person he is, he puts his heart and soul in a character," said Mr Rai.

Mr Rai is "really looking forward" to see him Shah Rukh play a dwarf.

"I will definitely take away some slice of the real SRK and plant it in that character," said Mr Rai.
