Actor Arjun Kapoor is busy promoting his film Half Girlfriend, co-starring Shraddha Kapoor. In an interview to news agency PTI, the 31-year-old actor said that he is passionate about films and it bothers him if his films don't generate revenue. "I will be lying if I say failures don't affect me. I am passionate about films. I never want my producers to lose a single rupee. I can't guarantee that they will make money as it depends on how the film is made, but I always try that they should not lose money," PTI quoted the Gunday actor as saying.
The Aurangzeb actor added that he doesn't want producers to lose money because of his 'creative whim'. "If you are ambitious then you should have the means to pull it off. I don't want people to lose money because of my creative whim. I can do that once or twice, but after that I won't be considered for the films which producers feel will do good business," Arjun told PTI.
Arjun Kapoor, who was last seen in R Balki's Ki And Ka opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan, told PTI that he enjoys working on one film at a time and that the gap between his films generates curiosity amongst the audience. "When you start out, you do everything you get. You feel that you may not get a chance in future. But now I want to give an output that will make me happy," he said.
"I have discovered that I enjoy working on one film at a time. It may have repercussions... But I want to be honest to my characters. I choose films for the love of the character and not because I want to be seen," PTI quoted Arjun Kapoor as saying.
Half Girfriend, directed by Mohit Suri, is scheduled to release in theatres on May 19. The film is based on Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name.
After Half Girlfriend, Arjun Kapoor will be seen in Mubarakan, directed by Anees Bazmee. The film, which also stars Anil Kapoor, Ileana D'Cruz and Athiya Shetty, is slated to release on July 28.
