New Delhi: Baahubali: The Conclusion (Hindi version) successfully shattered the records set by Aamir Khan's Dangal by making Rs 128 crore at the box office over the weekend, reported trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Dangal first weekend collection was Rs 107 crore. The S S Rajamouli-directed film is creating and rewriting history in India and abroad. Baahubali 2, starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, released in several languages and got a bumper opening of more than Rs 100 crore all versions put together. The film also became the third top earning film at the US box office leaving behind Tom Hanks' The Circle. Taran Adarsh gave the box office numbers from multiple regions and it translates into Baahubali 2's gigantic success.

Baahubali 2 collected above $10 million in USA and this performance stunned the trade analysts abroad. Vanity's Emma Stefansky described Baahubali 2's win as "perhaps the most surprising over-performance of the weekend."
 

Baahubali 2 was well received by fans, critics and colleagues. Superstar Rajinikanth, who saw the film over the weekend, called it a 'masterpiece' in a tweet. "Baahubali 2, Indian cinema's pride. My salutes to God's own child S S Rajamouli and his team. #masterpiece," he wrote.
 

Baahubali 2 released a year later than its scheduled time of release. Rajamouli's VFX film was much awaited ever since the first film (2015's Baahubali: The Beginning ) ended with an epic cliffhanger - Why did Katappa kill Baahubali? The curiosity to know the reason behind Katappa's treachery pulled moviegoers to the screens. Baahubali 2 also stars Anushka Shetty and Ramya Krishnan in pivotal roles of Devasena and Sivagami.
