New Delhi: Badrinath and his Dulhania are just a few crores away from a box office century. Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan's Badrinath Ki Dulhania hit screens on March 10 and has made a sum of Rs 93.94 at the box office, reported trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Mr Adarsh also provided a day wise break-up of how much Alia and Varun's new film collected over the weekend. This was Badrinath Ki Dulhania's second weekend at the theatres. Varun and Alia's film recorded box office collections of Rs 4.21 crore, Rs 5.90 crore, Rs 7.45 crore and Rs 2.72 crore on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, reported Taran Adarsh.

Earlier last week, Mr Adarsh made a premonition about Badrinath Ki Dulhania saying, the film is expected to rule the theatres during its second week at the box office. It appears that his prediction has come true.

Directed by Shashank Khaitan, Badrinath Ki Dulhania casts Varun Dhawan as Badrinath Bansal, a simple boy Jhansi and Alia Bhatt as Vaidehi, a headstrong girl from Kota. In his review for NDTV Movies, Saibal Chatterjee writes: "Varun and Alia deliver energetic performances." Badrinath Ki Dulhania is Alia and Varun's third film together - the duo were launched in Bollywood with Karan Johar's 2012 film Student Of The Year and later starred in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Badrinath Ki Dulhania is actually a sequel to Alia and Varun's 2014 film.

Alia's last film Dear Zindagi was with Shah Rukh Khan, which received mixed reviews last year. Alia will next be seen in Dragon, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor. Meanwhile, Varun has begun filming Judwaa 2, which is a sequel to Salman Khan's 1997 film.
