- Held at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, the do, one of the highlights of the festival, was attended by a galaxy of Hollywood stars including Sharon Stone, John Travolta, Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard, Jessica Chastain and Justin Bieber while top models such as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Lara Stone, Irina Shayk and Alessandra Ambrosio increased the glamour quotient. Bold red lips, turquoise eye shadow, glittering Chopard jewels added a dash of colour to her look. Abhishek Bachchan, dapper in a black bandhgala proved to be her best accessory on the red carpet so far.
- This year has perhaps been one of Ash's best showings at Cannes. In her first appearance on May 20, she queened it over the French Riviera in a show-stopping Cavalli mermaid dress in gold. He next, in silvery-white Cavalli, was equally traffic-stopping - a far cry from the previous 12 years where she has been undone by desi designers like Neeta Lulla and Abu-Sandeep. This time's fashion choices have only served to cement the belief that she is best served by international names like Armani and Elie Saab - who she wore to great effect last year. Roberto Cavalli is the newest welcome addition to the list. Together, they've helped Ash silence her critics once and for all.
