New Delhi: The trailer of upcoming Bollywood film Dishoom is out and from the first look the story seems far-fetched, way too far-fetched.

India's top batsman Viraj (three guesses for the allusion) is kidnapped by a bookie (played by Akshaye Khanna) 36 hours before the semi-finals of a tournament.

He threatens to kill Viraj (played by Saqib Saleem) if the match is cancelled therefore India's external affairs minister (the makers really are brazen when it comes to allusions) designates special task force officer Kabir (played by john Abraham) to rescue Viraj with help from a local cop in the Emirates Junaid (yes, Varun Dhawan).

Kabir and Varun along with Ishika (Jacqueline Fernandez) are on a quest to find Viraj before the match begins.

Isn't the story a bit far-fetched?

But, what helps the seemingly ridiculous plot are John and Varun's funny punchlines and comradeship.

Like this one:

Kabir: *dangerous look*
Junaid: Ae Kabir, tu Munna Bhai hoga, lekin main Circuit nahin hoon... Tu Batman hoga, lekin main Birdman nahin hoon... Tu hero hoga, lekin ab main bhi hero hoon

Or this one:

Ishika:Tum yahan kya kar rahe ho?
Junaid:Salo se Spider-Man ka ulta kiss practice kar raha hu

Actors Akshay Kumar and Nargis Fakhri have cameo roles in the film. Nargis, last seen in Azhar, also makes a short appearance in the trailer.

Dishoom is directed by Varun's brother Rohit Dhawan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film will hit the screens on July 29, this year.
