Djokovic's 'Female Companion': Foreign Media Fails to Recognise Deepika

New Delhi: Homegirl Deepika Padukone is swiftly becoming an international star courtesy her starring role opposite Vin Diesel in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage - but not swiftly enough for certain sections of the press. The 30-year-old actress is currently filming in Los Angeles and was photographed leaving a local hotspot with tennis star Novak Djokovic on Tuesday. Foreign media, however, entirely failed to identify her.

Deepika, looking fabulous in a black and white dress, was referred to as Djoker's 'female companion' by British site Daily Mail. She was also described as a 'leggy brunette' and praised for her stylish outfit. (Also Read: Tabloid Changes Djokovic's 'Female Companion' to Deepika After Mockery)
 

For future reference, foreign media, Deepika Padukone is one of India's biggest stars and delivered three well-received films in 2015 - Piku, Tamasha and Bajirao Mastani.

For those wondering how she knows Novak Djokovic, Deepika played an exhibition tennis doubles match with him, Roger Federer and Aamir Khan in 2014's International Premier Tennis League tournament.

xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, the third film in the xXx franchise, is Deepika's first Hollywood venture.
