Panaji: Filmmaker Vikas Bahl said that movies are not made to suit the sensibilities of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Recently, Central Board chairman Pahlaj Nihalani was criticised for cutting short kissing scenes between actor Daniel Craig and his leading ladies in the 24th James Bond film SPECTRE.(Also Read: Pahlaj Nihalani Defends Himself Over SPECTRE Cuts, Says he Went by Rules)

However, Vikas said that the film industry is as relentless as the censor board.

"I think if the censor board is relentless, so are we. I don't think we ever give up. We have not made a film based on what the censor board will think. You like the film, then go and make it," said Vikas.

Vikas also said that he always looks for unique stories as a producer.

"Whether it is the story, screenplay or the way they are telling the story, something has to be unique for me to spend my time and energy on it. The fact that you keep experimenting with a new story and new storytelling techniques is what excites me the most," added Vikas.
