This rumoured Bollywood romance has derailed in so spectacular fashion that the involved parties are now involved in ugly feud that is playing out publicly. Hrithik Roshan, 42, was so incensed by 28-year-old Kangana's 'silly ex' comment from a while ago that he sent her a legal notice. He's unlikely to take kindly to an interview that has now appeared in
Mumbai Mirror, in which an unnamed friend of Kangana has made a series of disclosures ranging from an alleged proposal on Hrithik's part to what sounds very much like disturbingly controlling behaviour.
According to
Mumbai Mirror's source, Hrithik began pursuing Kangana while they were filming
Kites in 2009. Kangana then signed up to play the female antagonist in
Krrish 3, the third film in the superhero series that stars Hrithik. According to her friend, "Even though Kangana's career was not exactly shining at the time, she said no to Hrithik. She felt rather uncomfortable with the attention he was showing." Six months later, however, Hrithik allegedly managed to win Kangana over although she was sworn to secrecy about the romance.
The
Mumbai Mirror report claims that in December 2013, Hrithik told Kangana that he and Sussanne were divorcing - the divorce was finalized in 2014. In January 2014, he allegedly followed up with a proposal in Paris. According to Kangana's friend, this is how Hrithik worded the proposal: "You may think this is coming out of a rebound. But I have no doubts about our future happiness because you are the only person who has never judged me. And I have felt a strong connection with you from Day One." (Also Read:

However, the alleged romance quickly went south. Kangana's friend claims Hrithik stopped communicating while filming
Bang Bang! and that the actress also confronted him over rumours about him and co-star Katrina Kaif. In return, she was allegedly told that she had 'misunderstood his intentions' about the engagement.
It still wasn't The End. Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut allegedly reunited after she won the National Award for her performance in
Queen/ but the relationship was on rocky terrain. Kangana's friend blames insecurity on Hrithik's part. "The final blow to their on-again, offagain relationship came in May 2014 at Karan Johar's party. They hadn't spoken for a couple of weeks. When they met at KJo's party, Kangana put her hand on Hrithik's arm. He reacted angrily and asked her how could she have set up a date with another actor for the following Wednesday," the friend told Mumbai Mirror.
Kangana allegedly suspected that Hrithik had hacked her e-mail. The friend also claims that Kangana gave Hrithik her password so he could check her e-mail himself, that he had her tailed so that he could keep tabs on her, and that he told the famously straight-talking actress she had Asperger's Syndrome.
For his part, Hrithik issued a statement on Thursday which said that he will "take a legal path to resolve the matter so as to keep it private." He also denied Kangana's friend's allegation that he told the actress that she had Asperger's Syndrome: "And finally, I believe that mental health is a grave and crucial issue which merits serious discussion. I would never address it flippantly nor use it as a personal attack. Any allegation to the contrary is a misrepresentation of facts. I was requested to keep silent and I did so for 2 years."
Hrithik also defended himself by alleging that an imposter mailed Kangana: "The crux of the matter is that the mail id hroshan@email.com does NOT belong to me. I had filed a complaint in this regard with Mumbai Cyber Crime cell on 12 December, 2014 when I learnt of this impersonator communicating with said person. Hrithik Roshan, last seen in Bang Bang, stars in the Ashutosh Gowariker-directed Mohenjo Daro this year. He is currently in Prague on work and tweeted this on Wednesday:
