- A beaming Imran cradled his three-day-old bundle of joy, wrapped in pink, with Avantika by his side. They were accompanied by her mother Vandana Malik.
- Actor Aamir Khan, the new arrival's granduncle, spoke on behalf of the family when the baby was born. "We are extremely happy about this new addition in our family." he said.
- Imran is currently on paternity leave and will return to work next month. He last appeared in Gori Tere Pyar Mein and voiced the character Blu in the Hindi version of Rio 2.
