Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and John Abraham at the launch of the trailer of Welcome Back
The
Welcome Back team, including actors Nana Patekar, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor and director Anees Bazmee, revealed the trailer of the movie, here on Monday.
Producer Firoz Nadiadwala and music composer Anu Malik were also present at the trailer launch. However Paresh Rawal, Naseeruddin Shah and Shruti Haasan who also feature in the movie, were missing.
The poster of the comedy film was released a couple of days ago.
"The film was supposed to be completed in a year but was delayed. But today, when I see the film it gives me a pleasant feeling that we could create something like
Welcome Back," said Mr Patekar.
The director said that the film would release on September 4. "I hope you enjoyed the trailer. And I think when you see the film, you'll really love it," he added.
John, who features in the movie, explained his role, "I play a
bhai (gangster) in this movie and I would credit my performance entirely to Anees. I have worked with Paresh sir (Paresh Rawal), Nana sir and Anil sir in films before and my chemistry with all of them is special."
Anil, who plays Majnu
bhai in the movie, said, "It's great to be a part of a film produced by Feroz Sahab and directed by Anees Sahab and where I am getting the opportunity to act alongside Nana Sahab.
"As long as there are talented actors like John, Naseer sahab, Paresh sahab, the experience of working on the film is immense," added Anil.
Welcome Back is a sequel to the 2007 comedy
Welcome which featured Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. Shruti and Dimple Kapadia add female power to the sequel.
