Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam's film Kaabil has collected Rs 61.5 crore in seven days. The film which released on January 25, registered 10% drop from Monday, as reported by Box Office India. On Day 7, the revenge drama made Rs 3.5 crore. Kaabil's first week's daily business as stated by Box Office India is: Rs 8 crore on Wednesday, Rs 15.5 crore on Thursday (Republic Day), Rs 7.5 crore on Friday, Rs 10.75 crore on Saturday, Rs 12.25 crore on Sunday, Rs 4 crore on Monday and Rs 3.5 crore on Tuesday. Box Office India predicts that Hrithik's film will make around 68 crore in its extended nine-day first week.
Kaabil released simultaneously with Shah Rukh Khan's Raees. Box Office India report states that if Kaabil had released a couple of weeks ago, it would have made a grosser, which is unlikely to happen now. SRK's Raees has earned Rs 103.5 crore. Raees has managed to secure 11th position in the top opening week films, reported Box Office India.
Sanjay Gupta-directed Kaabil opened to fair reviews. Hrithik's performance as a visually-challenged man has been appreciated by critics and his Bollywood colleagues. NDTV's Saibal Chatterjee gave Hrithik's film 2.5 stars and wrote that Kaabil is a paisa vasool fare.
Kaabil also stars Yami Gautam in a visually-challenged role. She plays Hrithik's wife. Actor brothers Ronit and Rohit Roy play prime antagonists in the film. Hrithik seeks revenge for his wife's death, who was raped by Ronit and Rohit characters. Kaabil is produced by Hrithik's father Rakesh Roshan.
