While box office receipts haven't totaled up to the lofty first weekend figures set by films like Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan, multilingual hit Baahubali, or even Akshay Kumar's Brothers, Kapil Sharma has much to smile about.

According to Box Office India, the opening day collection of over Rs 7.5 crores has set a new record for a film with a newcomer in the lead. The previous holder of this record was Karan Johar's Student Of The Year which was headlined by three first-timers - Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra.

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon is directed by Abbas-Mustan and also features Arbaaz Khan, Elli Avrram, Manjari Phadnis, Simar Kaur Mundi and Sai Lokur in the cast.
