Kareena Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore Prep for Soha Ali Khan's Wedding

Kareena Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore Prep for Soha Ali Khan's Wedding

Soha is the daughter of Sharmila and the sister-in-law of Kareena Kapoor

Actress Soha Ali Khan's impending nuptials mean that Bollywood's finest have just about enough time to recover from the whirl of festivities that accompanied Shatrughan Sinha's son Kussh's wedding before attending another. The bride-to-be, though, isn't stressing - not with shaadi help at hand in the form of mother Sharmila Tagore and sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor.

Soha, who is marrying actor Kunal Khemu on January 25, spoke to Mumbai Mirror about her preparations for her big day, her Amma's advice and the couple's honeymoon destination or lack of one.

While Soha admitted she was excited about her wedding, she maintained that it would be a low key affair. She also said that her sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor was equally excited about the wedding and had been a big help with shopping and the planning.

"It's a small, simple ceremony with us registering the marriage at home and we haven't even planned a big reception. So there is no need for loads of shopping," Soha said, adding that her mother, Sharmila Tagore, had given her some lovely jewellery and they had selected some beautiful outfits together.

Soha also said, "Amma's advice to us is: Don't hurt a man's ego and don't hurt a woman's emotions." She added that she missed her father, the late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, saying, "I wish Abba had been here on my wedding day."

There is to be no honeymoon for the newlyweds, however, since Soha starts shooting for Ghayal 2 in February.

"No honeymoon right now. We'll plan something fun when the weather in Europe is better, perhaps in summer," the actress stated in the interview.

While Soha maintains that hers will not be a big fat wedding, with an illustrious family that includes the likes of Sharmila Tagore, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, we are sure the ceremony - however small or simple -will be an affair to remember.
